Terms of use
Last updated 2 November 2026
These terms govern your use of Python Quest at virakti.in, operated by Virakti EdTech (Micro enterprise (Udyam registered), Udyam UDYAM-UP-54-0094424), "we", "us". By creating an account or buying a module you accept them.
1. Your account
- One account is for one person. Do not share your login, password or session with anyone.
- Each account can be used on at most two devices (or the number set by your institution). A private/incognito window or a cleared browser can count as a new device. To move to a new device, ask us or your institution's administrator to free a slot.
- Accounts issued by an institution are controlled by that institution, which may change which modules you can access, free device slots, view your progress and integrity reports, or disable the account.
- You must give accurate information. If you are under 18, a parent or guardian (or your institution, with parental consent) must agree to these terms on your behalf.
2. What you buy
- A purchase is an annual subscription: it gives you a personal, non-transferable, non-exclusive licence to use the purchased module(s) online through your account for 12 months from the date of payment. Subscriptions do not renew automatically; you may renew by paying again, and renewing before expiry adds 12 months to your current end date. A complete-series subscription includes modules released during its 12 months.
- Modules are delivered digitally and immediately; nothing is shipped (see our delivery policy).
- Prices are shown before payment and include applicable taxes. During the launch period, prices are offered at a 50% discount on the regular price shown alongside; the discount may end at any time, but never changes a subscription already paid for. Payments are processed by Razorpay; we never see or store your card or bank details.
3. Honest learning
Python Quest exists so that you learn to write Python yourself. While using it you agree not to:
- use AI assistants, code generators, auto-typers, scripts, bots or other people to produce answers to levels;
- bypass, disable or interfere with the paste block, device limit, watermark, domain lock or other protections;
- copy, download, record, re-host, sell or redistribute any part of the modules, chapters, artwork, music or code;
- reverse-engineer or decompile the games.
To protect the integrity of results we log signals such as blocked paste attempts, time away from the page and unusual typing bursts (see our privacy policy). These signals are shared with your institution if your account was issued by one. We may suspend accounts that breach this section; serious or repeated breaches may lead to termination without refund.
4. Intellectual property
All content — games, levels, reading chapters, graphics, music and software — is owned by Virakti EdTech and protected by copyright. Reading chapters are original works inspired by the open textbook Python for Everybody by Dr. Charles Severance; Virakti EdTech is not affiliated with or endorsed by py4e. "Python" is a trademark of the Python Software Foundation, used here descriptively.
5. Availability and changes
We aim to keep the service available but do not guarantee uninterrupted access. We may improve or change modules. If we ever close the service permanently, we will give at least 30 days' notice and refund the unused part of active subscriptions pro rata.
6. Liability
The service is provided for education. To the extent the law allows, our total liability for any claim is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim. Nothing in these terms limits rights you have under the Consumer Protection Act, 2019.
7. Law and disputes
These terms are governed by the laws of India. Please contact us first — most problems are solved quickly. Courts at Mathura, Uttar Pradesh have jurisdiction, subject to your rights as a consumer.
8. Contact and grievances
